SP2 - Sapa easy trek 2 days - 3 nights (Overnight in hotel)
** Lao Chai is a village of black H’Mong ethnic group. Located 7 Kms from Sapa, it is quite approachable from Sapa for a travllers who do not have much time. In this village which you will have a welcome feeling at any house of the hospitable people there. You can interact them, learn about their culture and customs.

Ta Van is located in Vietnam in the northern province of Lao Cai, about 5 kilometres from Sapa, at an altitude of 1, 816 meters. This province borders the province of Yunnan in south-west China, and the indigenous people here share many cultural features with their Chinese neighbours.
Also located in the valley of Muong Hoa, Ta van is a village of Giay people, who look more like the traditional Viet living the Red delta. This village is normally a combination in the visit to Lao chai village on the trek to Muong Hoa valley. It is also a popular stop for those who would like to experience an overnight home stay with a family of Giay people here, sharing dinner with them as a member of their family.


** Ta Van is a small village set within a picturesque valley not far from the northern Vietnamese mountain resort of Sa Pa. The area is renowned for its colourful ethnic minorities, and Ta Van is home to two such groups. A stay with one of the farmer families here will give you a close-up experience of the life-style and culture typical of the area. Trekking in the surrounding area is most satisfying

Night 1: Be escorted to the railway station by Gia thinh Hotel staff for boarding the train to travel up Lao Cai city.

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van  villages (B)
5.00: Arrive at Lao Cai Train station in the early morning. Be picked up by your tour guide and taken an 01hr drive to Sapa.
6.00: Leave the luggage in your hotel then enjoy breakfast and take a shower in a local restaurant nearby. Strolling around the town to fresh up and make friend with friendly locals.
9.30: Start trekking to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages down in Muong Hoa valley. Enjoy the spectacular views of the beautiful valley towards Fansipan – the highest peak of Vietnam and Indochina. Trek through the villages of Black H’mong ethnic minority to learn the way people weaving and embroidering their clothes. Have a break in a local restaurant for lunch then keep going down to enjoy colourful rice paddy fields and reach Ta Van village where the Dzay ethnic people inhabited.
15.30: Be picked up by private car to get back to Sapa for checking-in. The rest of the day will be at your leisure to discover the town (Dragon Mount, Orchid garden, the market…)

Night 2 : Overnight in Chau Long Hotel in town.

Day 2: Sapa – Cat Cat – Sin Chai – Ta Phin  villages (B)
9.30: After breakfast in the hotel, start visiting Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages. Trek through lush rice terraces towards villages, experience Black H’mong people’s daily life and traditional culture. Then back to Hotel.
14.00: Take a drive to Ta Phin village (12km from Sapa) where the Red Dzao people live to learn more about the culture, custom and their daily life. Have a good choice of buying woven and textile brocades which are locally hand-made. Pay a visit to one of the local family to experience the true life of the Red Dzao.
16.00: Back to sapa for a shower then be transferred to Laocai city. Enjoy dinner at a restaurant close by the railway station the board a night train back to Hanoi.

 
Night 3: Night train back to Hanoi


Day 3: Hanoi
The train arrives at Hanoi in the early morning, Gia Thinh Hotel staff will pick you up, and escort you back to the hotel (optional).
